THE
TREE FROG OF THE LAKE
|
Im very
fortunate in that I can easily access some of the most
peaceful surroundings, where nature exhibits the most
captivating sounds and colours at their best. Im even luckier
that the place that I can truly lose myself is not far from
my home Monte Pallano (Chieti). After a winter with
lots of snow and rain over the mountains (some over the 2500
metres high), the normally dry Black Lake called Lago
Nero suddenly bursts to life as rain and melted snow begin
to fill the dry basin. Its incredible to witness the many
species of wildlife dotted around the water. To me the frog is
irresistible to observe and even more so to photograph! |
